hey guys, got a 2000 chrysler cirrus. i got the same car 99 dodge stratus for parts. the strut has gone on my cirrus(loud bang over any type of bump), wondering what kind of a job i am looking at here, ive got spring compresser and everything......thinking i will do a swap, just looking to get another year or two out of the car...

 

you might be able to swap whole unit,from stratus to cirrus without taking it apart. i would check monroe website enter both cars and see if part #'s from monroe are same for each car strut and mounting kit #'s.
