2001 dodge Stratus R/T for $5995 with 112,635 Miles.... Worth it?
So I found this Stratus, and I was wondering if it is worth it? I feel like it might be a little bit over priced? Is it? And how reliable is a Stratus R/T? Will it be lasting me a while if driven carfully, racing on an occasion and not stomping the pedal and wash and waxed and detailed about every month or twice a month, and oil change ever 3-5000 miles? Will it be lasting a while, or are there parts that are known to go out at an average mile?
I bought mine at 84000 for about that price in great working order. No problems yet at 95000 but i think you should either haggle or find another car completely. There are a multitude of things that need to be changed at that mileage. Try and see if you could get your hands on an owners manual (google it, im pretty sure there are free ones out there)
***Edit*** I also stuck with all my oil changes (which does not have to be based on mileage nowadays, but more so usage. usually done at 4500-5000 with royal purple), tune-up when i bought it ($600 D-X) and she still runs strong. try not to race it though, there are governors on it that prevent it from going over 115 (at least on mine, not sure about 01). there are other factors to get into as well but thats gonna take forever
