starter motor question

Default starter motor question

hello need some help i have a 2001 stratus withe 2.4 dohc and wasnt the last person to work on it. i have noticed a thick green wire loose hanging down by the starter just wondering does it need to b connected with the red wire that connects to the starter

In my experience you don't connect green and red wires. It would be helpful to trace it to the origin, might help diagnose a little better. If everything works could just be grounded to something and hanging free.

That should be the fusible link between the starter and alternator. What is it attached to and where do you see it go?
