2003 Dodge Stratus Coupe with slight vibration.
Hi I have a problem with my 2003 Dodge Stratus Coupe sxt 2.4L SOHC 4cyl.
The latest I did before the problem: Oil change, changed serpentine and alt belts, and new spark plugs added.
I'm noticing a slight vibration from the engine at idle. It seems this vibration occurs at random times. I'll try to describe my situation.
I don't hear it while accelerating. As soon as I press the gas and accelerate(even slightly), I no longer notice it.
When I come to a complete stop, I may or may not hear the vibration at this point, but when I release the brake and allow the car to move slightly forward, I can hear and slightly feel the vibration coming from the engine.
I say "at random times" because I do occasionally notice the vibration while completely stopped at a stoplight, or parked.
The sound is only slight, and it may not be a big issue, but there is still a vibrating sound, and the best way I can describe the sound.. well, I'll say it sounds like a cat purring ...
Please, if anyone has any helpful advice or a clue as to what it could be, i'll really appreciate it.

Well First, I can't help.
Second, I'm having the same problem with my 2002 coupe r/t. It seems to only be when my headlights are on and my foot is on the brake though. Idk if you've fixed it yet or not, but I haven't. If you do please let me know, If I do I'll tell you what I can.

At any any time did the check engine light come on? I would take it to a local garage and have it scanned to see if you have any pending codes in the computer, pending codes are codes that the computer is analyzing to see if it warrants turning the check engine light on. Next I would check the motor mounts, you may have one in the very early stages of failing.
