Default Problems crank pullie bolt.

Im working on my moms 2002 dodge stratus r/t 3.0. I have tryed just about everything to break the harmonic balancer bolt free and can not. The holes do not go all the way through to hold it in place. Im stumped.

Ive tryed strap wrenches. Made a tool to hold it and couldnt break it free. I dont have excess to a big enough air compressor to power my impact.

A buddy wants me to heat the bolt with a propane torch but before I go there I want to ask you guys.

What Im doing to it is Timing belt, water pump. completed so far changed plugs and valve cover gaskets front and rear.

A 1/2 inch breaker bar should be enough to break it, even when working with the engines compression, just giving it a few quick tugs, otherwise you can try getting a bar thru the sprocket and wedging it somewhere on the block.

I got it all finished up today. Went to parts store and they let me barrow a 1/2 electric impact. It wouldn't break it loose and my uncle came over put a socket on it popped loose and came right out. On the 02 3.0 it has now holes through it. Dumb if you ask me but hey its a great car/engine. Thank you for replying
