Default Factory Speaker Removal - 02 Stratus R/T

I have that lame a$$ Infinity set of speakers. I'm looking to upgrade my speakers around Xmas and was wondering if anyone had swapped out theirs? I'm just looking to find out how difficult, if at all, it was.

The door speakers are not very hard to replace at all. Just keep in mind that they are 6.75, so you will need adapters for em. My type r comps came with them and they went right in. I also had to bypass the factory amp on the front channels when i did this because of impendance issues i belive. It was very quiet and sounded terrible until i bypassed it. As for the center channel, i think its connected to the front channels, explaining the impedance problem. It no longer works after bypassing the amp. I wouldnt worry too much about the center speaker, it doesnt seem to do much. For best sound, run the door speakers off of an amp, it made a big difference for me. You still running the factory deck?

BadStrat: i mistook that center speaker for an air vent! HAHA eh well, I never paid it all that much attention anyways.

Alpine25: I'll get at you in a few weeks, I am going to do my interior setup here very soon.

i obviously was forced to completely bypass my stock amp, and my center speaker still works, but i took special care to ensure that everything still worked.
