In addition to my last post about my Dodge Stratus quiting when ever it wants to .Here's how it goes,it all started out the car would quit going down the road any time it wanted. no check engine light .The garage told me the fuel pump was laboring so they changed that, no change.I just droped the gas tank myself and checked the fuel pump and it runs as long as you got power applied.the fuel level sending unit has a bad spot in it when you check the resistance ,does anyone know if the sending unit could cause this type of problem.I forgot to mention as long as you kept the gas tank full it seemed to be alright .the garage said as long as the pump was submersed in the gas it kept it cool and was ok ,when the gas got low the pump would get hot and cause the problem.so much for that theory. ( need help. )Dave.

 

i'm wondering if it would be a ground problem. i would post and see if dr. dodge can get a wiring diagram for your car and trace the wires and see if there is a problem somewhere along that circiut.
