I have been having an issue with a grinding noise when I let up on the gas pedal. Started out happening more on the highway when I let up on gas to slow down, or when I really gassed it and let up. Now today something unknown happened and it is doing it all the time no matter what. When it starts I can sometimes tap gas lightly and the grind will stop, but just happens again and again when I let up on gas.
I am thinking it has to do with an issue with the drive shaft??? Need some feedback as I am broke broke broke and cannot afford to have it looked at/fixed.

 

It could be the CV joints or a wheel bearing. It would really help to have someone put the car on a rack and take a look. There is no way to identify 100% with the info that you have provided.
