So had a stock cassette deck in my 02 stratus, decided it was time to get a aftermarket stereo.

Havent gotten one yet, but i have a sony xplod laying round, it works good, so I decided to tackle installing it myself.

went good, got harness from store, antenna adapter, all went very well.

I dont have any sound from rear deck. sound comes off the rear speaker wires from stereo, but nothing comes from speakers.

I checked for factory amp under seats, nothing there. ran new wire to rear speakers in case there was short nothing.

The stock stereo worked great all around. I have read and re read so much online on what to check, bout to pull my hair out..


HELP? suggestions??




If its doing this with a simple stereo, what i want to put in will be a headache.......

connect the blue/white and the blue wires on the harness... There seems to be an amp there somewhere, and that should kick it on. Not sure if the '01+ has the amp under the seat or if it's mounted in the rear trunk panels somewhere.
