I decide to take my sedan (06, 2.7) for a clean out run this morning. So I cruise around til it warms up. Once it's warm, I head for my favorite beating spot, only to find out it's limiting revs to 5k. So my whole useable powerband is gone. It was also idling off.

No CEL and it ran perfect when I parked it earlier this week. I tried shutting it off and restarting it. I tried resetting the comp. Nothing. still got the same reaction. Rough idle and rev cut at 5k.
Any ideas?

 

So we drove the car all over Friday night and all day yesterday and it gave no issues or sign of any issue.

Fired it up today and it wouldn't hold an idle. I couldn't get it to stay running long enough to shift into gear????
