Default Two QUESTIONS!!!!

Alright. I want to know if theres an ECU upgrade for my 2k5 Dodge Stratus SXT? (on my old Jetta you could reburn the ECU software for huge power gains from 150hp to 225 and from 160lbs of torque to 265) also i dont have the "holes" for fog lights; how would I go about putting a set in.

Default RE: Two QUESTIONS!!!!

About fogs,if you wish to install those inside the bumber perhaps some body repair shop could make holes for you(if you don't really have ones)and make sure for the mechanical fitting at same time, maybe even install lights for you.
And the electrical connections is an other story,it depends what are the regulations concerning state when lights could be switched on.
My Stratus ES has fog switch on light switch assembly.
If you don't have wire harness installed you must make one of your own just remembering to make sure that not any wires
can be damaged at any circumtances at any point of your driving.Remember insulation,it must be 110%.
If your regulations allow fogs to be on only with low beams here is one example for connections:

Take standard light relay, mount it to place easy to get with wires.Normally these automotive relays have inside diagram
on the relay, check pin numbering for correct pins..
Connect other end of the relay coil to low beam wire and the other end of coil to fog light switch you have installed to dashboard.
The other end of this switch must go to ground (body)
Now you should have some contacts free on relay, these are the power contacts of relay,if 2 then you have one closing,if 3 you have
two pole relay.
Take wire from fuse box or you can use that low beam + wire again and connect it to relay contact pin ,if two pole then it is commmon pin
if one contact then just one of the two pins.
Have wire from the other relay contact pin,if two pole then it is the contact that is normally open,if one contact then from the last free pin.
Take the wire to the other end of both fog light bulbs, the other end of both bulbs must be grounded.
Now fog lights should work with low beams but shut down with high beams.
IF ANYBODY KNOWS IF DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS MAKE THIS CONNECTION IMPOSSIBLE PLEASE LET US KNOW.

IF ANY DOUBT TAKES PLACE CONCERNING WIRE CONNECTIONS PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS.
LEAVE WORK FOR ENGINEER.PAYING MONEY FOR BEING SURE THE CAR IS FREE OF ANY POSSIBILITY TO HAVE SHORT CIRCUITS CAUSING FIRE ETC.IS NOT STUPID.IT IS WISE.
