Default 2002 Dodge Stratus w/ 2.7

Hey folks...Got a problem here and I fear the worse. My wife's 02' Stratus with 109000 miles started up last week and was running terrible. It is running high at idle and kind of loping when idling also. Not running hot at all. Have left it running for 20-30 minutes, and not hot. No bubbling the resovoir and the oil looks fine, not milky or anything.

Was thinking head gasket and had someone look at it and perform a smoke test. He says head gasket, but it seems to me all the telltale signs AREN"T there unless I am missing something.

You guys give me any input? Thanks!

I would guess a sensor or vacuum leak. Possibly timing chain going, but I'd have to say start with sensor or vacuum leak. Don't know why anyone would say head gasket for what you describe.
