My radio intermitenly shuts off while driving. It sometimes stays off for 2 minutes other times 30 minutes. After a while it works perfect until I shut the car off then back to square one. Any ideas? 2000 Stratus

Also, I have not checked the bulbs yet but neither of my fog lights work. Is it normal for them both to fail at the same time or is there another problem?

I would start by checking your fuses in your fuse box. Sometimes if they are not properly seated or if they are blown things can stop working or malfunction. I would also check to see if the bulbs are bad/blown/unplugged. Once you have done all that...i would even go so far as to suggest that you pull the factory stereo out and double check all your cabling for proper connections and make sure that no wires have any damage to them. There is also the possibility that your HU has simply reached its dying point. Usually those things will last forever but there is always that chance you got a bad one.

Lastly, I would check to see if any of its covered under warranty, and if so....have the dealership look into it....

 

the 200 stratus seems to have a electrical short somewhere cause my dome ligth wont work a t times my high beams wont click on at times so thereas a problem on this year
