wife has a 2000 stratus went to head for work this am put the key in you hear the chime but the key wont turn,can replace cyl lock but cant get to run position

 

i know this is a old old post but maybe others can use this info at a later time....

my wifes car did same thing. gear shifter seemed very tight! i have her put her butt on trunk and move car back and forth while i tried to turn key and it turn on first try! i guess sometimes tranny gets locked and shifter to tight? anyway try moving car a bit next time it happens!
