My 1996 Stratus has the fold down rear seat. I'm supposed to pick my daughter up from college at the end of the week and I'd like to take the Stratus. It would hold more 'stuff' if I could fold down the rear seat.

I've tried pushing down the button on the rear deck, turning the button on the rear deck, inserting key into button, turning key *90 degrees and then pushing or turning button. It won't budge. If I open the trunk, I can pull the strap and then push down the seat. Is there a common failure with these? Some linkage to fix or something?
