98 stratus a/c cold then warm
On my wife's vehicle I just had the A/C recharged. The A/C never really worked well last year and she complained it smelled so I put in the antimold stuff into the vents. While traveling at a constant speed on the highway the a/c will blow very cold for 5 minutes then go warm. If I turn the a/c off for a minute and then back on it will blow cold for another 5 minutes. I admit I don't know much about a/c systems but what I did notice is that the one line from the compressor gets very cold and water condenses on it. The other line gets almost too hot to touch. I ran the a/c in the driveway at idle for a while and it blew cold air no problem but I didn't notice any water dripping from underneath. What could the problem be or what should I be looking for to get closer to a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we want to sell the car and can get more money for it and sell it easier if the air works. Thanks everyone.
