Default Fog on Gauge Cluster, Dash Warp

I just bought an '03 Stratus R/T, and I like the car, but it has this weird issue. On the plastic covering the gauges, there is this strange white buildup. When you rub it, it sort of wipes off, then immediatly comes back. I don't know how to get rid of it. I was thinking Headlight restoration kit, but I don't know.

Also, does anyone have a somewhat easy fix to the "warping dash" issue? I have warping by the defrostor vent and Airbag. I was thinking liquid nail, with some weight for a few hours would fix it well enough.

Ive never heard of the gauge cover doing that, but the warped dash is very common, and the fix is exactly how you mentioned, unless you want to pull it out. I helped a friend fix his a few years ago like that.

Thanks pearl. I thought some liquid nail would do the trick.

Hopefully someone else can give me something on the cluster though...it's quite annoying.

Have you tried something simple like Windex? Perhaps it's something on the lens itself?

try white vinegar and water,or isopropyl(rubbing) alcohol and water to clean then windex, agree about something on lens, i think i would stay away from a headlight restoration kit ,most are abrassive ,plastic gauges alot softer then headlights ,

Of course I tried Windex. I don't know what you mean by "lens" considering I said the plastic covering the gauges, meaning the clear plastic cover over the gauges...

I'll try rubbing alcohol, but this is a pesky problem, I'm not sure it will remove it. If I was to use a headlight restoration, I would use a low-grit pad, nothing to tear it up...I'm no moron.
