Default Can this trim be brought back?

I have a 1998 Stratus and the two trim pieces for the windshield are old, faded, and cracked. The rubber covering is flaking off at an alarming rate and exposing the aluminum underneath. Can these be brought back or do I have to go back to the junkyard?

Just to clarify, these are the two black pieces of trim on the left and right sides of the windshield.

I don't recall any black trim pieces to the left and right of the windshield. Maybe a picture of what's going on will tell? Depending on how bad it is, restoring them may not be the best course of action anyways.

Sorry, I kind of got busy and forgot about this. Here are the pics. I just want to see if these can be brought back before I replace them.

They look like this pretty much all over:

This is where they go:

I'd fix them with some clear silicone. Or head on over to the junkyard and see what you can find. The sun will just dry up soft parts like that.

Clear? What about black? Anyway, thanks for the tip! I figure if they have to be replaced, either NOS (good luck) or a parts car from the far northern states may be the way to go?

Sure, black RTV sould work too, I always use the clear stuff in the tubes to fill in holes and hold stuff together.
Ebay would be your best bet for some parts from the north, which aren't dry rotted by the sun.
Good luck.
