Fluid Talk
Ok, so, In the next fw days, I will be changing my oil in my 2003 Stratus R/T coupe, 3.0. I wanted everyone's view on oil. Everyone has loyalties with certain types, but I was thinking about Royal Purple HPS 10-30. I work for a company which sells it, and I get a discount.
Also, I am planning on doing a transmission flush(I want your thoughts on that, ya or nay) and running RP through that as well. Let me know what you think, and what you use. Maybe someone can use this later, as I'm sure it's asked often.

If you get a discount, then go for it. Otherwise, I wouldnt personally get the high dollar stuff. You want to go with 5w-30, not 10w-30. It is the recommended oil, and probably saw it most of its life. If you lived in Arizona or somewhere that doesnt have freezing temps, then 10w-30 wouldnt be a problem.
I personally use Castrol 5w-30 Synthetic. I switched to synthetic around 100k miles since I had the common lash adjuster tick, and it has seemed to help it a bit.
As for a transmission flush, I would take it somewhere. It can be messy (been there, done that on a friends R/T), and if anything happens, you have someone else to blame. Im sure they would put in whatever fluid you want if you brought it to them sealed up. Also, remember there is no serviceable/changeable filter, its just a straight flush and refill.

Yeah, I do not know why I typed 10-30, I actually got 5-30.
With the transmission flush, my boss owns the EQ to do so, we actually sell the EQ to garages as well. So he will be doing it for me.
