my 01 stratus's rear passenger side power window is stuck halfway down. i'd love to be able to fix the problem as soon as humanly possible because i park it on the street. i've already located the part (new window motor) at a local dealer, but need some guidance with regards to the actual replacement. so if anyone could help by telling me how to safely remove the inside door panel to get to the problem, and also any tricks/steps for performing the actual motor swap, i would GREATLY appreciate it.....the sooner the better!

the panel should only pop in, i think, i cant say for sure, because mine doesnt have back doors, but as a stratus owner, id like to help. i guess that really wasnt much help. sorry. all i know, is most door panels just pop in with cheap plastic clips. start by unscrewing the arm rests and whatnot, and once the things there are screwed through the panel, it should just pull off...do it bit by bit, maybe start at the corner, as to not break many of the clips. this is the case for about 80% of the cars ive worked on. let me know how is goes!

 

There is a special tool for pulling these clips that will save you some time and trouble. You can get them at any parts store for a few dollars. The clips are usually sold there as well and are inexpensive. Things to watch for are your electical wires for your controls and speakers, it's best to pull a terminal off the battery, and you want to get the window all the way down before trying to remove the panel.
