I have a 2003 stratus 4 cylnder with 65K miles. When starting out at low speeds it takes a while and higher rpms to shift into gear. I have been told to check or replace the modulator valve but have no idea where it is. The check engine light is also on. Any ideas?

 

the first thing you need to find out is whats making engine light come on,transmission has electronic controls and sensors ,when they act up they will make light come on,sometimes an auto parts place can check for you and tell you code,other times it has to go to dealer or a shop with a DRBIII code reader
