How much rotation??????
OK Folks,
Need your help.
I have a clunking sound left front when car is put into gear.
Have changed drive axle, hub bearing, but clunking continues.
I jacked and blocked front end; had helper put car in gear. Noise appears to be coming from transaxle.
MY QUESTION --- while front end raised, I rotated the wheels in an attempt to ascertain location of clunking.
The car was in gear and I was able to spin the wheel approximately 3/4 of a turn.
Almost like transaxle has internal "gear" damage and the noise is caused by a delay between the two components.
