I recently bought a shrot shifter online through ebay for my stratus 01r/t. went to install it and the dam thing didnt fit my car, Furious the least to say here. So went to a dealer ship and they told me that there was 2 models made that year, a dodge model and a mitisubushi model. Did some research and the shifter for the ecplispe and it looked just like mys tock one. IS this safe to put those parts ina nd, does this mean that i can put most ecplispe parts into my car? Thanx to who ever replies.

 

i have never ever heard this..the only "two RTs" that were made were the coupe and the sedan...the sedan is made by dodge...the coupe is basically an eclipse with a really elaborate body kit on it

 

DCX used DCX parts for the sedan model only, and used Mitsubishi parts for the Stratus Coupes. Your car also could have had repair work done to it and had different parts used.

 

I am the only one to have this car, bought it brand new. A dealership told me about the two different models so idk. i wanna add a short shifter so, i guess ill buyt eh ecplise one if that fails then im ****ed i guess haha. thanx

 

i worked for dodge, in parts department, and very few things are interchangable between the coupe and sedan...eclipse parts should work...

even the headlights, although they look the same, wont fit the other car.
