Strange sound - need help
Hello all,
Yesterday I had the radiator replaced (it had been over heating due to leak) and when I got the car back it was making a annoying rubbing sound.
I went back to the car place and they listened and looked under hood and said the sound was "no wear near where they were working and un related"
He went on to say "its either pullies that don't cost too much or alternator that does cost allot".
The car is a 2004 Dodge stratus 4 door. The sound sometimes goes away and comes back while driving.
Thanks for help

I don't think that sound is from either the Pulley or Alternator, they should remove the belt and try again. It sounds like something is hitting. sounds more like they left something loose and now it is hitting the belt or radiator fan.
I really thought it was something rubbing that he took apart but he claims hes 100% sure its nothing he touched or even in the area he worked.
Is there any belt that would of been taken off, moved or belt guard that would have to be removed to change the radiator?
Is there a way I can see the radiator fan or is it all hidden under other stuff?
I do seem to notice it a little more when the ac is on but it can happen with ac off too. It can happen when the car is moving or at a stop light.
Any ideas where to start?
Thanks
PS. My ac seems cooler now, is the ac connected to the radiator in any way? it could just seem that way but really the same.
Thanks again!
