Hi-I'm new to this forum but just recently purchased a 2005 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl coupe with 97,000 miles. It runs like a charm and always starts up right away, but last Thursday, it just turned over (sounded like it didn't have gas but it did)and then started right up like always after about 4 tries. For the following 3 days it has been intermittently starting right up and then I will be somewhere and it will just turn over and over and I wait and try again and again and finally it will start right up. Since I am not familiar with the car yet, I am not sure what this could be since it runs so smoothly on the highway?????

 

Sounds like the fuel pump isnt getting fuel to the injectors fast enough. May want to get the fuel system pressure checked, you could have a dirty filter or dying pump (on unit). Im at 139k and havent had any issues though.
