Default Negative Battery Cable

I have a 2003 Stratus SXT Coupe with a 2.4 SOHC that has a negative battery cable that needs to be replaced due to corrosion. The problem is that I have yet to find a two piece cable like the one on my car (shown in the attached photo). Only the top part of the cable is corroded and I would like to replace only that part. Has anyone else had this problem and have they found a cable like the one pictured?

Thanks in advance!

Ed

are you worried about the corrosion around cable, you can use some coke(coca-cola) or mix baking soda and water together pour over corrosion let sit a few minutes then rinse well with water repeat if needed. have you checked autozone they sell different type of ends that might work, use a grinder or something to split the band around cable take the old one off hook up new one

I have used that cleaning technique before and it works pretty well but the corrosion has worked is way into the cable strands a pretty good bit. I may use your idea about the new cable end and fabricate a new section from the battery to where it's bolted to the fender.

Thanks,

Ed
