My 99 2.0 SOHC has started acting strange. After startup, the enegine won`t take any throttle for several minutes, just bogs. Idle sounds bad. Then suddenly the enegine starts sounding like normal and the car runs like nothing ever or as long as I want it too. But only a short stop and it needs a new "period"

First I thought this could be a cold-start related problem, but no, it`s the same even w. hot enegine. Starts up like it should but won`t take throttle for several minutes..

 

This sounds like a sensor issue.. Check/replace your throttle position sensor and see if you still have this issue..

Also you should take a look at your IAC, it is most likely the cause of your bad idle
