I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus. Sometimes the radio works and sometimes it doesn't. I sometimes hear a buzzing noise coming from the back of the car when I open the door and the radio won't come on when I hear that noise. When it isn't working correctly, the buttons for the cd player and radio stations don't work properly. Example, if I push the button for the cd player it will go to the radio. I think it might be a short in the wire connection to the speaker. I really don't know though. Can anybody help?

 

I have worked with car audio and electronics for 8 years. You have a bad radio/head unit. Get a new radio and your problems will go bye bye. It isnt speakers. Speakers dont have anything to do with the buttons on the radio. A bad radio can though, sent distortion throught the speakers. Hope this helps
