Some reports indicate that the 96 ES Strat uses a distributorless system. I thought it was controlled by the PCU. I just read an archived post where a guy was complaining that he's had to change his distributor 6 times on his 96...Is this guy just confused or what could he mean?

 

He might be talking about the coil.....?
