Default info on2nd gen stratus

Ww are planning on getting another car in a few weeks. Have found a 2001 Stratus an would like info on themWhat are problem areas and strengths? What size motors and are they(car and motors and trans) Chrysler or Mitsubishi? thanks

the coupes are mitsubishi, the sedans are chrysler,the sedan had a 2.4 and a 2.7 liter engine options the 2.7 had a bad reputation for engine failure due to sludge buildup.you can search "sludge stratus 2.7" on internet and get more info. the 2.7 was a good engine in my opinion never had problems with mine. the only real problems i,ve seen on here are the blower motor resistor seems to overheat more then some cars, the heat a/c has issues sometimes doesn't do what you want(easy free fix most times). don't know very much about the 2.4 chrysler never heard anything bad,just make sure the timing belt is replaced when it needs to be should last awhile.the mitsubishi's(coupe) don't have a clue hopefully someone will answer that part

Thanks we will get a 4dr if we get one. Is there room in the back for kids and enough leg room in front for me. I am 6 ft and like to have room. thanks

there roomy for there size, i'm 6 ft had plenty of room in front ,the backs not to bad,if the seats back all the way the legrooms kind of tight for a normal sized adult(6ft)
