My front upper ball joint busted out, control arm is still intact, do we HAVE to replace arm, or can we just replace the ball joint????

 

you can replace just the ball joint(think when i did mine joint was 16.00 and control arm was 50.00 at autozone i just did arms since i was doing struts also) ,most likely have to be pressed in, you can rent tool from autozone,not sure if it can be done on car your might have to take strut assembly out to get enough room

 

If I recall right the only way I could buy the upper was to get the whole assembly.
