Default Engine swap help

I was wondering if I could swap my engine from an 04 stratus sxt with 01 rt?

not sure maybe someone can answer there need more info it won't work if one is a sedan(dodge engine) and one is a coupe(mitsubishi engine)

You should be able to physically make it fit. Verify the position of the motor and transmission mounts, I believe the transmissions are the same between the engines (41te). Possibility that you may need to swap the ECU's.

What kind of engines are they?? 4 cyl's or V6's??, manual or auto trans??

My 04 stratus is 4cyl, and the 01rt is 6cyl. Both are automatic.

According to the mitsu site I researched before my 3.5 swap, the trans will not interchange between the 4 cyl and 6 cyl. Apparently they have different bellhousing bolt patterns. check out this site http://www.club3g.com/forum/ and search there for more info.
