Does the alarm system kill the ability to start the car? After parking my car at night and locking with the factory alarm it didnt start the next morning. I checked the battery, fuses, and all other basic components. Everything is functional. When I turn the key to start the car I don't hear anything and nothing lights up on the dash.

 

I'm having the same issue with my 2.7L 2002 Stratus.

I replaced the ignition switch and it still does the same thing. Turn the key and absolutely nothing happens.

 

The electrician said its the BCM (body control module) and was able
Since we played around with the switches and Fuses, so the he
Was ableTo bypass it and it started. So now we just
Have to order the BCM.

Mine ended up being a blown ignition/fuel pump 20 amp fuse. Once that was replaced and the battery charged the car started.

However, I still think there may be a drain on the battery when the car is off. Not sure where that is coming from.
