Question key fob problems

ive went through all the steps to program a remote..i didn't have one with the car so I got one off ebay. it says it is for a 02 stratus all models...everything goes like it should except the remote doesn't program..i just put new batteries in it today and tried several times, door open and closed..nothing I jump pins and hit the hazards and my doors lock then unlock but when I push the remote three times nothing...how do I know if its the right remote or am I missing something....thanks

You can swing by a dealer and use their FOB tester...a little yellow box that beeps and lights up. They should have one at the service desk.

Thanks,I'll try that first..I see others that say the remote has the panic button on the back.mine has all 4 on the front.it say dam/Chrysler on back,so I guess its a factory remote.but r they the same for coupe and sedan?

No, Coupe and Sedan will be very different. Coupe is a Mitsubishi (Diamond Star) vehicle. If yours is a Coupe, the dealer may need to use the Pinout Box to do it. I can't remember how to do it manually. We do maybe one a year...lol
