No heat, just defrost, cold air
I have a 1996 dodge stratus 2.0L. coupe...Please, I am looking for a solution. I have no heat, replaced thermostat, heater core, flushed the system, and still have no heat. I am only getting air movement through the defrost, no floor, or mid vents blow air. Tried resetting the blend door actuator, to no avail. There is a clicking in it when the motor starts...if I replace it will it give me heat back as well as the vents to open? Pulled the dash off by the climate controls, they are all tightly connected. When the key goes on, I can see the main vent door open, seconds later it closes...and the door actuator begins to click. Any ideas out there? as to what the problem is.
I have same problem. With yours I would say maybe solder connections on climate control as I had no rear defrost and found some broke solder joints at pins and re-soldered and now have rear defrost you can only see with powerful magnifier I am gonna take mine back out and re-solder all joints to see if this helps but not sure when I will have the time. I just don't drive the car in the cold winter months haven't driven it in a couple months as I've found out its not to bad in day time but early and late it's miserable having to drive with windows cracked so you can see. Hopefully we can find a fix it must be a dodge thing as my dodge work van has heat but is starting to blow wherever it pleases whenever. Good luck
