2006 Dodge Stratus 2.4 DOHC Head Gasket?
My Dodge Stratus has a low idle and multiple cylinder misfire. I changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, PCV and IAC valve and that didn't help. I then checked my compression only had 90 in cylinder 1 and 2 were 3 and 4 had 187. I then added compressed air to cylinder number 1 and I had no bubbles or air escaping anywhere except 1 and 2 air could be felt I put the spark plug boot in number 2 and it would blow it off. I added oil to each cylinder for a wet test but it didn't make the compression any higher.
I now think the head gasket between 1 and 2 is leaking between each other. And with no air escaping to the radiator so I don't think a gasket sealer would be the way to go.
Could someone give me a walkthrough on how to change the head gasket on this 2006 2.4 DOHC.
What do I have to take off to get to the timing belt and how do I take off the camshaft sprockets with out a impact wrench the Haynes repair manual just says a special tool. I cant afford to let a garage do it. Any help would be appreciated.
