what could possibly be the cause for my battery light to come on in my 2006 Dodge stratus when I recently got a new battery and alternator as well as the belt replaced?Thanks in advance.

 

do you have a meter to check wiring? what kind of voltage are you getting at battery with engine running should be over 13 -14.4 volt range roughly,check fuses and relays mine(had an '04) had a relay under hood for alternator/egr valve not sure if it controls alternator or not ,check terminals,cables wiring look for overheated or damaged cables first ,you may have to check for short with meter if you don't find anything ,check grounds clean and tight. earlier models had an issue sometimes under the hood in the fuse box with the main wire/terminal getting corroded

 

Thanks,I found out the pulley needed to be replaced and the alternator belt was tearing.
