the other day I was driving down the road 65 mph when a heard a clunk clunk-clunk and my car (02 stratus r/t 3.0) revved up and when I got it stopped it will no longer go into any gear..shifter wil move but will not engage in any gear. a week or so before there were a couple episodes where I would shift into reverse and it would jerk real hard. But only happened maybe 3-4 times..Any ideas what mioght have happened? thanks in advance!!!!

 

Your wave spring broke and your transmission is done for unfortunately. Time to hit up a junkyard for another F4A51 transmission.
