Timing Components Q?s
2005 Stratus, 2.7 V6, 200K miles
This is a friends car in another state. She took it to a mechanic and he stated it needed a timing chain. Is this a good engine, being it has high mileage, to R&R the timing components? An about dollar amount for this procedure? Any advice and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

that's a tough call with that many miles on it if everything else is good and car has been taken care of its possible to get a lot more miles out here's a thread where people post the miles on there stratus https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-s...r-stratus.html, when my water pump went out was told around 1500 including chain, guide ,tensioner etc.that was for an 04 2.7 ,if they do replace chain i would also get the water pump done also maybe 200 more then just chain by itself. think its about 7.5 to 8 hours labor to change chain
