hey just bought a 01 stratus se sedan with a 2.4L engine and didn't notice that the dashboard light don't work, the warning lights does work, speedo, rpm's, etc work just fine but the background lights don't, when bought the car has no radio, just got a new oem one and installed and it does work, everything on the car works just fine but the dashboard lights, check up all the fuses and they are fine, don't know what else to check on it, please help

 

have you checked to make sure the switch isn't turned all the way down for brightness ,bad bulbs possibly ,

 

the brightness control is all the way up I move it up and down and nothing, I also check for the bulbs but only found one blown bulb but on the A/C control thing, don't know if they work on series like the old Christmas lights? sorry, i think didn't mentioned that neither the A/C controls and radio lights aren't working.
Going to the dealership today to get the bulb

 

no there not in series, you should be able to get bulb at your local auto parts place cheaper then dealer ,try pulling fuse #5 out (think its fuse 5 on that year ,its either got a cover you have to remove or its raised up from other fuses)for 10 minutes put back in start car let run for 5 minutes then check A/C ,radio and lights could be issue with body control module sometimes they need resetting
