Just got a 03 stratus R/T v6 auto it has a heat destroyed dash it's folding and lifting looking to see if anyone knows a way to fix cheap or a replacement parts dealer or what to do.....I'm in Orlando FL ...and would love to get some knowledge on this car any major issues I should look for also the car has a mild humming sound when pulling away from a stop the previous owner said he had a tranny mount replacement done and it has been there since.......any defects know on this car should I change anything should I replace anything asap.........please help me I would like to try to do most of the work on her by myself.......

 

Parts are expensive, as you have a Mitsubishi vehicle built by Diamond Star. It's about as much Dodge as a Ford Escort.


Al in all they were pretty reliable as long as you maintained things like plugs, wires, cap, rotor and timing belt.


Those dashes do that. It's a full dash pull and dissection to replace it. I would bet that is a discontinued part by now. You can call a dealer and ask though.

As for the motor mounts, I, and along with many other Stratus Coupe owners had to replace them because they break apart. There are nice solid mount inserts available. Need parts mechanically? You own a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT.

 

Well guess I will have to yank the dash out and see about a fix with epoxy or a industrial glue hope it works well will be doing a full time up and then more in time she has lots of life left so I guess she's worth it
