Noisy 2004 2.4 motor?
Hi,
Quick question - looking at a used 2004 Stratus SXT 4-door with the DOHC 2.4 'x' motor and 154k miles. The car runs well, is relatively clean and appears to have been fairly well maintained over its life.
My only concern is with the motor, 2.4 VIN X. It's noisy. No knocks, piston slap, excessive valve tap or anything like that....nothing rhythmic or that might otherwise signal impending doom, it's just generally mechanically loud overall.
For those familiar with this motor...anything going on here I should be worried about?
