2005 Dodge Stratus 4 Door SXT - Heat Issue
All,
Thank you for taking the time to review my problem and hopefully have some good suggestions...
The Problem :
Only cold air is blowing out into the cabin. So far these are the items I have checked and validated that should not be the problem
1.) Radiator is good the car is not overheating
2.) The fuse has been removed and put back in for collaboration and it does sound like door is moving is working as expected still no hot air
3.) validated the blower is working correctly because cold air is going throughout the cabin.
4.) Coolant fluid is good and at normal level, otherwise the car would be overheating
5.) No cracks in the radiator again no overheating
The Possible Idea of the Issue:
1.) The acutator (blender door) could be the problem and I would need to know how to get to this blender door without removing the whole dashboard
2.) Removed the glove box insert and could not get a good view of the blender door or the pin so it could be closely checked out.
Please advise and suggest any further steps that maybe considered. Thank you for your time.

I have provided a youtube video of where we are looking for the blend door for the heat/AC . Please let me know where we could find this at.

Hi,
The car is not heating up at all actually. Basically I was driving home from work and its about a 50 mile drive. All the sudden the heat just cut off instantly and never came back on. I decided to wait about 3 hours went back to the car started it up, and the heat was starting to come out, then suddenly stopped again. I think the heat is working, just not blowing out the vents like it suppose to. I am trying to find a way to test that.

The fuse we removed was number 5. Also we just got a new thermostat so we are going to replace it. I also added a new youtube video as well to get your opinon on what could be the cause. Below is the link.

Finally, one question, when we replace the thermostat where is this located at on the car?? Under the engine? or right by the radiator cap??

Issue Resolved :
The suggestion for the thermostat was the answer in this case. Once we replaced it the heart starting blowing in the vents again. The problem in a 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT 4 Door the factory thermostat has what they call a "Fail Safe" which when the engine gets too hot, the thermostat opens and it stays open. Preventing the engine from over heating. We were thrown off by the readings and was unaware the car has a fail safe thermostat. Once replaced as I said before, the cars temp ran perfect blowing heat out of the vents. I want to thank you all for your help and support on my issue and consider this a lesson learned
