06 dodge stratus with codes P0700 and P0340
All,
I need some help. My 06 dodge stratus just recently started dying when the engine temp gets in the middle. I started it up one morning and let it warm up, when I came back out I put it in drive and it overheated and died and the coolant was everywhere. It then wouldn't start and the battery was dead. If I charge the battery it will start and run until the temp gauge gets in the middle then dies. It is throwing codes P0700 and P0340. Any suggestions or advice?

what engine do you have, did the engine get damaged from overheating?, what is condition of battery? p0700 transmission control system is a generic code for different things need a scanner that can communicate with transmission module most cant. could be caused by a bad coolant temperature sensor possible reason for overheating also, the p0340 is camshaft position sensor possible battery ,cables ,bad starter if codes came up after overheating i would start with battery/charging and starter system first
