96 stratus, 2.4, transmission shifts good, 1,2,3,od only one time. if i stop, it goes to limp, then will slip 3rd; stop again , slips 1st. park it; same thing the next day; can't be solenoid, in/output sensors or it wouldn't shift correct the 1 time , so my question is , what actually make this trans down shift

 

Solenoid.
Don't rule it out just because it shifts good the first time. Seen them cause many issues and get overlooked.
