cars sways when normal driving or when it shifts
2002 2.7 4dr se automatic
When driving under normal conditions it will shift left or right, more so to the left. It also does it when it shifts either up or down. When making a tight radius turn to the left there is a loud bang or "clunk" during the turn.
History: Bought the car used from a friend, 120k miles, we had just rebuilt the engine. He got a new job and his relocation pkg would only allow for 2 vehicles, I got a good deal.
1. Noticed trans having trouble at 2.5 rpm shifting either up or down. Flushed and replaced fluid. No shavings in bottom of pan, fluid wasn't burnt. Ran fine after computer reset.
2. Back struts started to fail around 125k, replaced all 4, replaced all 4 tires and took it in for an alignment at the shop I use for all my needs.
3. Discovered the inner and outer t rods are shot, replaced them all. Car aligned fine and ran great until recently.
4. Have checked visually cv axles, ball joints and control arms, have checked bearings using most of the suggested methods posted on multiple forums.
Could this be a differential/trans problem or steering /suspension problem.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
