Default Rear strutt replacement

I've got a 3.0L coupe (2 door) with a rear strut out. My buddy had the sedan (4 door) it's sister and we replaced his rear struts. All we had to do is pull out his carpet in his trunk and the strut was popping out right there in plain site. When I did that with my car I realized it was not the same case. I surfed the Web and found no instruction videos or anything telling how to do except one guy said you have to remove panels or something.? Please help.

For the record, the Stratus sedans and coupes are only related by name, nothing else.

Regardless of year, to access the rear struts on the coupe you locate the 2 tabs on the bottom underside of the rear seat, pull towards you and up. Get rid of that, and in the bottom corners of each side of the back seat, youll see a bolt holding in the side panels of the upper backs. Remove one bolt per side, and pull the side panels out. You now how access to the top of the rear struts. Should be two bolts holding each one in.
