Default Help. EGR Not Ready

Hi.

I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus Coupe that I cannot get to read Ready. The EGR and Catalytic Converter are both reading not ready. There are no codes showing. I have been to three or four different mechanics, not to mention countless hours online trying to see how I can fix this. I have driven it 1000+ miles since it first read Not Ready. My last mechanic told me that I need to do a complete drive cycle. If it works, that's fine but I don't want to waste more time. Any help, suggestions, advice would be appreciated!

So your car isnt throwing codes, and youre driving it still. Whats the problem again?

Which engine do you have the 2.4l 4cyl or 3.0 V6?

Some good info on this link. You may have to unhook the battery for a bit to re-reset everything and try what the last person to post said.

It's the 2.4. No codes, EGR Flow and Catalytic Converter reading Not Ready so I can't pass emissions. I'm planning on trying the drive cycle within the next couple days... Thx.

Sometimes it takes up to a week of mixed city/highway driving to set the readiness monitors.
