I have a 1999 Stratus with a 2.4 that the tach runs from 0 to 7000 with the needle running counter clockwise. I replaced the input and output sensors thinking they were the wrong ones. What else would cause this? The speedometer is working correctly.
most likely you need a new instrument cluster seemed to be a problem with circuit board soldered connections, you can try self testing gauges push and hold trip meter button turn key on hold for two seconds let gauges run test see if it works
Yes I have already tried that, but it didn't work. The other issue is the car is stuck in limp mode, and I have already replaced the input & output speed sensors and the control solenoid, but something in the back of my mind keeps telling me to get the tach issue resolved first.
