Just purchased a 2006 Dodge Stratus for my daughters first car the FOD and door buttons do not function to lock or unlock one or all doors. You do hear the relay click in the BCM.Can the BCM be opened to fix? Or is there another fix for this issue. Even thought about installing a remote started kit which has the capability to lock and unlock doors. Has this benn done to get around this issue. If so will be looking for some direction on the install. Looking at a CompuStar basic madel or a Viper Entry Level 1-Way Remote Start System.

 

have you changed battery in fob, do you have two fobs if so do both not work right , the BCM is not user serviceable have to replace if bad. could have bad module in door

 

The FOD works wehn signal to unlock or lock the ghts flash, truck open button works as well as horn. Tried the switches to lock or unlockon the doors they do not work as well. But you can hear clicking in the fuse panel of a rely engerizing. That is the reason I thought it was the BCM. If so will a aftermarket remote starter with door lock/unlock feature bypass this issue?
